Workshop

The Workshop module managers the repair and servicing of items by technicians (eg Mechanics). Workshop jobs may be Manufacturer Service jobs, Chargeable Repairs or Warranty Work.

The system integrates with purchase requisitions so that any parts needed, which are not in stock, can be ordered and directly allocated to a specific job. Moreover, repair work can be sub-contracted to third party repairers.

Parts can either be booked directly onto jobs and recorded as they are used by employees in “stores” or recorded by service desk personnel who conclude the sale.

Workshop work may be undertaken for retail as well as trade customers.
