What we do not do

We believe in being open with our customers, and wish at all costs to avoid any misunderstanding. Consequently, we feel it is important to say what we cannot or will not do, as well as telling people what we actually do.

Everything is Standard - Bespoke Programming is eliminated

We don't believe in writing bespoke pieces of program logic. These are difficult to maintain and integrate. However, this does not mean we are unwilling to handle requirements, which fall outside our current capabilities.

A requirement, which we cannot handle today, is programmed in such as way as to become part of the standard product. It will probably be "switched-off" for most of our customers, but it is present within the application used by all customers. This delivers the following benefits:

One of the key advantages of working with a provider such as Advensys is the fact that the application is being provided by the software authors. It is a complete application written using one core technology (Magic). It is not several pieces of software "lashed together" to try and form a solution.

We recognise that there will be things we cannot handle as standard. .... So we build them into the standard!

No charge for Upgrades

We believe that our customers want to pay a monthly fee and know that their system will be properly managed and kept updated as part of that arrangement. Hence, we do not charge extra for upgrades and we do not charge for installing updates and upgrades to the system. This is all covered within the standard offering.

We do not handle Payroll

This is a very specialist activity, and there are lots of systems which do it at a reasonable price. It is uneconomic for us to write our own payroll functions. We will happily work with other payroll providers if required.
